So, like I mentioned, I’m not getting any better at this. I fixing to go 1 for 3 on my picks as Washington State and Cal are going down to the wire…close enough for me to count it. Of course, I will wait until the final to post this…
I didn’t watch one second of football today. I watched the first 7 innings of the World Series and checked in with some scores while that game was going on. I need to remove my heart from my betting. I’ve learned two things about making my picks public. One, get smarter; and two, expand the second section of intriguing games.
This week definitely shows the struggle of it all. Oregon wins, but I lose; Oregon wins, but they lose their QB. Alabama wins, but only by 3 with a spread of 3.5.
Here are some observations from someone who didn’t watch any of the games. Arizona State: Is there a bigger disappointment? Personally, I never saw why they were considered so good. Good players don’t always make good teams. Tennessee: If there is a bigger disappointment (to their fans, not to the rest of us) than Arizona State, it’s the Volunteers. Georgia: My heart goes out to the Bulldogs. I really do hope that D.J. isn’t dinged too bad. With the cocktail party coming up, they’re gonna need him. Alabama: I’m glad I didn’t watch this game; they barely scored more than the Astros and White Sox.
Game’s over. It’s official. 1 out of 3 bets. Next week will be interesting with the Oregon (minus Clemens) Cal game and the Georgia (minus Shockley) Florida game.
